Phantom Wallet now supports BTC, Ordinals, and BRC20 Tokens.
Users can now buy, sell, trade and store Bitcoin and BRC-20 tokens on Phantom wallet.
Phantom Wallet, also known as the Solana wallet, has expanded its offerings by adding support for Bitcoin (BTC) and the latest developments on the Bitcoin network, including Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens.
This means that users can now buy, sell, trade, and store Bitcoin and BRC-20 tokens directly on their Phantom wallet.
In addition to Bitcoin, users can also manage their SOL, ETH, and other assets on the Phantom wallet.
The wallet allows for the import of existing Bitcoin wallets and provides support for Bitcoin Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens.
By adding support for Bitcoin, Phantom is taking a significant step towards becoming a multi-chain crypto wallet. Previously, the wallet had already added support for Ethereum and Polygon in April.
The Bitcoin functionality is currently in the beta phase of the wallet.
Phantom expressed its gratitude towards Bitcoin in the announcement, acknowledging its role in the development of Solana, Ethereum, and web3.
The wallet's launch in 2021 has been successful, attracting over 3 million users within a year.
In January 2022, Phantom raised $109 million in financing from prominent crypto-focused venture investors, including Paradigm, a16z, Jump Crypto, Solana Ventures, and others.
