There are reports indicating that the re-election team of US President Joe Biden is considering the possibility of accepting donations in cryptocurrency for their campaign.

Sources close to the team have revealed that they are in talks with crypto businesses, specifically looking into the option of receiving crypto donations through Coinbase Commerce.
A source familiar with politicians collaborating with the team mentioned that their goal is to show their support for the crypto industry.
They are actively addressing crypto-related issues and exploring ways to demonstrate their backing.

In May, Biden's campaign team asked for financial support to keep up with their Republican opponents.
A widely shared screenshot showed Biden's team warning their supporters about the significant donations received by the Trump campaign.
Biden himself acknowledged that Trump's campaign was surpassing his own in fundraising, with support from crypto executives.
According to the report, Biden's campaign team has been advised by his inner circle to prioritize understanding and engaging with the crypto community.
They have been warned that neglecting this issue could have negative consequences for their election campaign.
However, it was mentioned that Biden's team is still in the early stages of considering crypto donations.

In contrast, Donald Trump, who is expected to be the Republican presidential candidate, has already embraced crypto donations for his campaign.
On his fundraising page, he accepts various cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Ripple, USD Coin, and Ox.
Trump has openly expressed his support for cryptocurrency and even referred to himself as a "crypto president" during a recent event in San Francisco.
Furthermore, he has made a promise to pardon Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, if he is re-elected.
